TRAVEL
Flying from Portland ME or Boston MA to San Jose at Juan Santamaria International Airport, you would then need to make a connection that will bring you down to the Osa Peninsula.
Blue Osa’s preferred carrier is Nature Air. Nature Air is a small but very safe and customer service oriented airline that services all of Costa Rica. And, they are the only airline that has
reduced their carbon footprint to zero! As an Eco-Hotel, Blue Osa greatly admires and and appreciates their commitment to the environment.
If you would like to book a flight with Nature Air, you can do so quite easily by going to http://www.natureair.com/ (and please remember when booking your flight that you are flying from San Jose to Puerto
Jimenez).
When booking your flight, please be sure to book your shuttle (cost $5) from Juan Santamaria International Airport to the Tobias Bolanos Airport in the San Jose suburb of Pavas where Nature Air
is located. If you would rather not take the shuttle, you can also hail a taxi to take you from the one airport to the other – simply tell the driver you want to go to Nature Air, and they will
take you there, no problem. The taxi ride is approximately $25.
The other air travel alternative is Sansa Airlines. Sansa’s advantage in comparison to Nature Air is that they fly out of a terminal that is adjacent to the main Juan Santamaria International
Airport where you will be arriving. Please go to this URL to find out more about Sansa – http://www.bluosa.com/plan-sansa.php.
Alternately, if you would like to have extra service and be taken care of, please contact Isabelle at Osa Tropical. Their email is osatropical@ice.co.cr and their phone number is (506) 2735
6062.
Blue Osa maintains a well-supplied gift shop where you can find yoga mats, gift items, and some supplies. We ask that you bring environmentally sensitive soaps and shampoos, sunscreen, and shoes
that can get wet for river hikes!
