Portland Power Yoga has made the transfomative experience of yoga available to students since 2006. Founded by experienced yoga teachers, PPY has grown its staff from the two founders to six teachers, five class assistants, and six staff members. From the moment you walk through our doors, it is our sacred duty to serve and assist you in finding your full potential on every level possible.

What is Power Vinyasa Yoga?
Power Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga practiced in a heated room. In this practice you sweat, stretch and move through a sequence of vigourous and uplifting asanas (yoga poses). Your breath, aided by the lungs (the body's major organs of elimination) helps detoxify the muscle tissue while squeezing tension out of the nervous system. The heat is very beneficial, further aiding the detoxification process while allowing your muscles to gain a deeper access to strength and flexibility. Once heated and stretched, your muscles remain flexible even after your body cools down. You leave feeling stronger, more flexible and incredibly relaxed. This is the Power Vinyasa Yoga Experience!

The benefits of this practice are many and far outweigh the challenges. After your first practice, you will feel better.
